Most problems have a one-line fix you can hand straight to Claude.

Troubleshooting

My Railway link shows an error

Open your service in Railway, click the failed deploy and copy the error from Deploy Logs. Then tell Claude: "My Railway deploy failed, here's the error. Fix it and push." Claude fixes it, pushes, and Railway tries again on its own.

Fix a failed deploy

Railway shows an error instead of your site.

My Railway deploy failed. Here's the error from Railway's Deploy Logs:

Fix it and push to GitHub.
My photos don't show

Ask Claude to save the images into the project instead of linking to Google Drive. Drive links are private by default, so visitors can't see them.

My domain isn't working yet

First, wait: DNS can take minutes to a few hours (rarely up to 48h). Then check that the records in GoDaddy match Railway exactly, and remove any old conflicting www record in GoDaddy.

Claude can't see my Google Drive

Reconnect Google Drive in Claude under Settings → Connectors, and double-check the folder name you gave Claude matches the real one. If it still can't reach your files, drag the photos straight into the chat instead.

I broke something

Tell Claude: "Go back to the previous version." GitHub saved every version, so nothing is ever really lost.

FAQ

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You never write code. You describe what you want in plain language, and Claude writes it. If you can write an email and organize a Google Drive folder, you can do this.

How much is the course?

The full course is a one-time payment of $47, about the price of a nice dinner, and Modules 0 and 1 are free to try first. You get every lesson, every copy-paste prompt, the printable cheat sheet and your progress saved to your account. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe.

What does everything cost, all in?

About $85 to launch: the course ($47, once), one month of Claude Pro ($20), Railway hosting ($5/month) and a .com domain (about $13 the first year). Gmail, Google Drive and GitHub are free, and ChatGPT's free plan is enough for your logo. After that, keeping your site online is about $83 a year (hosting plus domain renewal), plus Claude whenever you want to make changes. Optional: Google Workspace for email at your own domain, about $7 a month. Prices change, so check each site before you buy.

Do I own my site?

Yes. The code lives in your own GitHub account and the domain is registered to you.

What if I can't get my site live?

You're covered by the Ready-to-cook guarantee. If you've done the prep and worked through the lessons, and your site still isn't live on its own link within 14 days of buying, email me what got stuck. I'll help you get it working, and if it still isn't live, you'll get a full refund. Details are on the Legal & Policies page.

Does it really take an hour?

The hour starts once your accounts and ingredients are ready. Setting up accounts takes 30–45 minutes once, and gathering photos and writing your brief takes 15–20 minutes. Then it really is about an hour from first prompt to live site for a simple site. Bigger sites with many pages or bookings can take a week or two of evenings. Lesson 0.3 has honest timing for each size.

Do I need to buy the domain first?

No. Build everything first and attach the domain at the very end. Your site is already live on a free Railway link before then.

Can I change the site later?

Anytime, even from your phone. Open your Claude Code session, say what to change, Claude pushes it to GitHub and Railway updates the live site automatically.

What kind of website can I build with this course?

Sites that tell people who you are, show what you do and help them get in touch: restaurants, studios, salons, shops, rentals, portfolios, landing pages. That includes the extras most sites need: a contact form that saves to a Google Sheet, a Google Map, photo galleries, videos, your Instagram, PDF downloads and a blog.

Can I add logins, payments or an online shop?

Not in this course, yet. Logins, databases and payments need a back end, which is a bigger recipe with extra security and legal steps. I built this very site that way, and I'm turning it into add-on recipes. The last lesson lets you tell me what you'd like next.

Who made this course?

Alexis Jabbour, a creative advertising and brand strategist who built small-business websites on Squarespace, Shopify and WordPress for years before building them by talking to Claude.

What kind of sites can I make this way?

Almost anything that is mostly pages: a business site, portfolio, home sale, vacation rental, restaurant, bar, dive shop, coaching or course site, or a blog. See the Showcase for real examples.
